Bury Library Service – Community Partnership Working within the Ramsbottom area

Bury Library Service is working to increase its work in local communities in and around Ramsbottom. We are looking for local people to get involved in how the library and its expanding community role works by taking part in a new Community Partnership. The Partnership is not just about the library but also about what’s important to people in Ramsbottom. A Community Partnership meeting is scheduled for 12pm Wednesday 2nd February at Ramsbottom Library, Carr St, Ramsbottom, BL0 9AE.

Attached is a survey in which we hope to get an idea of what community aspects are important to you. Your thoughts and opinions are vital for your library service to implement this project in a way which suits your community best.

As part of this project, we are also actively encouraging community groups, potential partners and anyone interested in volunteering opportunities to get involved. Do you have a hobby or interest, know a skill or specialise in a topic area that others would enjoy/be interested in? If so, come and get involved!

If you would like any further information, to attend the community partnership meeting or would be interested in volunteering please contact Simon Joos s.joos@bury.gov.uk or Dawn Broadhurst d.broadhurst@bury.gov.uk.

Kind regards
