Vue Bury The Rock opens up the big screen to people with autism

This summer, as part of Vue’s autism friendly initiative, sensory friendly screenings will be taking place monthly at Vue Bury The Rock. The new season will allow cinema goers, who would benefit from the subtle alterations made to the cinema experience, to attend screenings with friends and family in an inclusive surrounding.

Vue Cinemas will launch its autism friendly screenings on the 30th June, with subsequent monthly screenings happening on the last Sunday of each month. These screenings will be available at 78 Vue Cinemas nationwide.*

The Autism Friendly Film showings will include adjustments such as eliminating adverts, lighting left on low and sound turned down to accommodate film goers.

Sharon Harris  General Manager at Vue Bury comments: “At Vue Cinemas we are dedicated to providing all our customers with the best cinematic experience possible.

“We are delighted to be bringing autism friendly screenings to our customers as it will mean those who were previously unable to attend can now witness films on the big screen, receiving the ultimate viewing experience specifically tailored to their needs.”

Listings will be available on www.myvue.com

* With the exception of Vue West End and Vue Piccadilly.
